Isabelle Gullo cofounded C.A.R.E.4Paws in 2009. She was a longtime shelter volunteer who recognized the desperate need for programs that reduce pet overpopulation and intervene before animals suffer and/or end up homeless. Isabelle, a Swedish native and journalist by trade, is proud of the rapid progress C.A.R.E.4Paws has made in the last 12 years and feels grateful to work in a field she’s so passionate about. During the COVID-19 pandemic, C.A.R.E.4Paws has stayed true to their mission to prevent pet homelessness and suffering. They distribute four tons of pet food weekly to pet owners countywide and continue to provide a record-number of spays/neuters and medical services. And who would have ever thought a crush on Don Johnson put this all into motion?
