5 YEARS GONE GOOD
Celebrate 5 years of good times as World Gone Good brings you our first episode from our new digs in London. Yep, that’s right, we’ve jumped the pond to bring you all new guests for Season 6. Our party’s got everything you expect from us: a vegan chef, a farm sanctuary, a few random strangers on the street, a trip back in time (literally—we go to Beamish—look it up), a sound journey, and even the return of one of our first guests from our very first couple of episodes. So pop the champagne, grab a slice of cake, and get ready for an oh-so-good anniversary celebration (just remember to ‘mind the gap’).

We are talking the good of everything from unexpected gifts to discount Christmas trees to hiring an actor to play Santa Claus to prove to your in-denial child he truly exists. Yep. We are celebrating THAT kind of Christmas and Hanukkah together, people. About our party guests: Tim’s a long time friend and when we put up a call for holiday stories, he responded first and foremost with a childhood memory that had us double over laughing — we know you will love and relate to it, too; Kristine is a new friend who brings a special present in the form of the Conscious Life Expo coming February 7-10 to Los Angeles; and you may recognize Kevin from his appearance on The Today Show or People Magazine — he’s the guy who experienced a real life miracle and that’s what we all need to hear and share more of — we’re talkin’ good holiday and everyday miracles. This is our annual celebration of all the ways our family and friends and even complete strangers help to make the season merry and bright. He facilitates the building of houses, feeds homeless animals, and even helped an entire village get medical treatment all for free and thru donations from his followers. It all started as an adventure to find himself and turned into his personal calling to help others anyway he can. Celebrate our 50th episode with us as we highlight someone who is doing good all over the world.
PaSean Wilson-Ashley tells her journey from Broadway to vegan baker to owner of MamaAunties Vegan Goodies. If you need some inspiration and love dessert, this is the good for you. Seriously, how good are her vegan cakes and ice cream? I had her send me a cake a few months back thru the mail. She’s that good. And so is her story. (No desserts were harmed in the making of this podcast).
Live Better’s Bret Gornik talks how goal planning and taking chances on yourself makes you live better and live good. Bret is a personal trainer and kicks bootcamp butt on the regular with Barry’s – Chicago. He’s married to his college sweetheart and together they believe their dog is cuter than your dog (Note: Their dog is pretty stinkin’ cute – I have seen how cute this dog is – so you better step it up before you challenge them on this).
CBS Sunday Morning’s Faith Salie joins me to talk the good in protesting. For her family, protesting has gone to a whole new level and it all started when she dared to have a lock installed on her bedroom door. Warning: Do not ever cross an 8 year old and a 6 year old. Faith Salie is the author of Approval Junkie, which she’s also taken to the stage as her own one woman show, and she can also be heard on NPR on Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! On a sidenote, she makes a chocolate Coca-Cola cake that is mind-blowing. Ask her for the recipe.
