Melissa Peterman’s resume spans Fargo to Reba, Baby Daddy to Young Sheldon, Worst Cooks in America to the Sound of Music Sing-A-Long – and it all started for her on stage, performing live in Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding. Her roots have always been planted in the theater (or theatre if you’re fancy). Now she’s a board member for the Unusual Suspects Theatre Company in Los Angeles, where for over 26 years they’ve provided a safe space for thousands of underserved and at-risk kids to find their own voice, their own home on the stage and behind the curtain. Melissa shares the good of theater, working with younger voices, how they inspire her and how it all comes together as a great unifier. I also guilt her into promising to introduce me to my life-long crush, Valerie Bertinelli.
